ICQ 99b — connect to PetalTXT

ICQ 99b also supports setting a custom server before login via For admin use. Use the classic UDP port 4000.

Launch ICQ 99b and click For admin use on the welcome/login screen.

Opens the connection configuration dialog.
Enter:
- Server: icq.petaltxt.me
- Port: 4000 (classic UDP)

Use the exact host and port shown above.
Click OK, then log in with your UIN and Password.

Return to the login screen and connect.
You should come online and see your contact list.

Presence shows as Online when connected.

Confirm Server = icq.petaltxt.me and Port = 4000.
If UDP/4000 is blocked, try a TCP client: Trillian 0.721 (TCP/5190). See Connect for more.
Check UIN/password and disable proxy layers unless required.
