Is this official ICQ?
No. PetalTXT is an independent, ICQ-style community service.
How do I get a UIN?
During beta, registration is invite-only. Ask in the tildeverse or email ops@petaltxt.me.
Do you log messages?
We keep only what is necessary to run the service (e.g., account records and delivery metadata). See privacy.
Is TLS required?
Use the TLS port when possible. Legacy ports exist for compatibility.
Where do I see outages?
Check the status feed. We also post updates on the news page.
